Faction: ALPINE

ALPINE Corporation is a government run business that provides medical equipment for the visually and auditory impaired.
This is a cover for its true purpose. ALPINE is an acronym for Association for Latent Psionic and Inhuman Natural Endowment. They wish to find and recruit individuals with inhuman abilities or psionic potential within the Dome. Ever since the apocalypse, very rarely a child with superhuman gifts is born, and ALPINE will seek out these special individuals and build a force of super humans. This association is run by the government’s Chief Researcher Hoval (HOH-vahl) Uriot.
As of now, their future plans are unknown.

ALPINE Negatives: the most successful experiments of ALPINE, these poor individuals have lost their minds to the torture they endured and now serve the company.  Five so far have been labeled as Negatives.
Rage (PL 2): a man standing around 5’6” and slight musculature. He has short red hair and freckles on his pale face. He always wears a straight jacket, apparently because if he didn’t, he would rip himself apart in his own anger. He has the ability to create explosions and disintegrate objects. Under his jacket, he appears to have very thin skin, with muscle and bone beneath clearly visible. It seems that overuse of his powers can cause his skin to begin burning, meaning if he is not careful, he can easily burn away the skin protecting his torso.
Depression (PL 2): a woman standing at 6’1” and very thin, with long black hair that usually covers her face. She constantly weeps, tears streaming from her eyes and permanently staining her face. She has hydro- and cryokinesis. It’s said once you hear her sobs, you will already be half frozen. She and Octopus used to have a romantic relationship (as much as you could get in the hell hole they resided in) but after she lost her mind that was over.
Fear (PL 3): a young child, only 10 years of age. His stay at ALPINE has left him an unkept mess, with only splotches of grey hair on his scarred head, gnarled fingers and toes, a bent back, and wrinkled skin; he seems like he had aged to become 90 in his short 3 year visit in ALPINE. Unable to understand the reasons this was happening to him, he began to fear everything around him, unable to find comfort in anything anymore. His psychic powers grew exponentially; he is now capable of projecting vast and elaborate illusions, able to maintain and manipulate what would look like miles of illusory space. ALPINE has used this talent of his as the main building’s defense system: anyone who is not supposed to be in there is met with vicious illusions and must fight for their lives- it seems thoughts can kill, if they try to kill you.
Denial (PL 4): a handsome man standing at 5’11” with short brown hair, unusually pale skin, and an unnerving tendency to dislocate his fingers and later pop them back into place with a sickening “pop” and grinding sound, as fluids retake their position and bones grind together. Considered one of the best experiments of ALPINE, his powers make him godlike. His stay at ALPINE placed a burden on his mind and body he could not shoulder, so he did the simplest thing he could do: refuse to believe it happened. Thus he earned the name “Denial” and his greatest power was achieved. His level of denial can seep into the very fabric of the universe, allowing him to reject aspects of reality at a mere thought. His denial also causes him to believe ALPINE is his ally, thus why he continues to aid them. Despite his overwhelming ability, he does not seem to use it very often, and it is unknown why.
